It’s hard to believe, but June 2023 marks the 20th anniversary of Founders’ Lodge. And even more exciting, the exterior porch stairs have just been completely replaced! To celebrate, we’re having an Open House and Bake Sale on Sunday, June 11th from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Open House will be quite informal, but we will conclude with a brief service at 3:30pm to dedicate the new stairs. Church in the Wild cordially invites you to stay for their weekly service at 4:00pm.

Note that parking for Open House will be exclusively on East Shore.

A free-will-offering hot dog bar will also be available during Open House.

We’re also holding a bake sale as part of Open House, with a couple of changes to our typical routine. Firstly, while we strongly encourage placing a pre-sale order, individual items will be available for purchase during the afternoon. Secondly, orders will only be available for pick up INSIDE Founders’ Lodge (so you’ll have to park and stroll inside.)

• Loaves of Bread—$6.00/loaf
• Funfetti Sugar Cookies—$6.50/dozen
• Chocolate White Chip Cookies—$7.00/dozen
• Cranberry-Orange White Chip Scones—$6.50/half dozen
• Chocolate Chip Scones—$6.50/half dozen
• A Selection of Sundry Items—replica vintage postcards, mugs, and water bottles

Special Orders:

• Is there something from a previous bake sale that you’d really like to have Kevin bake for you? Want two dozen carrot cake cupcakes? Looking for gluten free cookies? For a $20 minimum, we’d be delighted to prepare a special order for you for pickup during this Bake Sale (or another agreed-upon time.) Please email Kevin to inquire about feasibility.

Jigsaw Puzzle Fundraiser:

• We are excited to offer a 500-piece jigsaw puzzle of the iconic Jesus painting which resides in Underwood Lodge. For a $50 donation through our Square store, we’ll send you one of these limited edition puzzles (or you may opt to pick it up during a bake sale.)

Here’s how it works:

• Place an order at our online shop by 7:00 PM on FRIDAY, JUNE 9th (note that this is connected with the Square stand in our gift shop, which uses a central UNYAC account—you may need to select “Sky Lake” as the pickup location)
• Your order will be available for pickup on SUNDAY, JUNE 11TH «INSIDE» Founders’ Lodge at Sky Lake from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM
