It takes financial resources beyond the fees paid by campers and retreat guests, as well as the generous financial support of the Upper New York Annual Conference, to provide the life-transforming ministry that many of us have experienced at Sky Lake at some point over the past 77 years. Your contribution to the Sky Lake Annual Fund helps defray the costs associated with operating the ministry: electricity, propane, hospitality supplies, program equipment, tractor fuel, and more. In other words, the parts of the ministry that are not apt to be the most photogenic, but without which our ministry could not thrive.
In 2019 we established the Sustainable Forest of Giving—an easy way for supporters to set up an automatically recurring gift to the Sky Lake Annual Fund. Inspired by the diversity of trees found in the forested areas of Sky Lake, the levels of the Sustainable Forest of Giving are intended to reflect the need for a diversity of gifts to sustain the ministry.
To become a member of the Sustainable Forest of Giving at the Sugar Maple level with a monthly frequency, donate $100 today and on the same day of next month, your next gift in the same amount will be automatically processed.
If you would prefer an alternative to giving online, checks made out to “Sky Lake Foundation” are equally welcomed. There are also several members of the Sustainable Forest of Giving who have made arrangements with their preferred financial institutions to have a check automatically mailed directly to Sky Lake each month.
All gifts to the Sky Lake Camp & Retreat Center Foundation, Inc. (d/b/a Sky Lake Foundation) are tax-deductible.
